reference tracking control design for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delays

Mei-qin LIU,Hai-yang CHEN,Sen-lin ZHANG

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2015, Volume 16, Issue 9,   Pages 759-768 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500053

Abstract: This paper investigates the trajectory tracking control for a class of nonlinear systems with timevarying delays by virtue of Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. A unified model consisting of a linear delayed dynamic system and a bounded static nonlinear operator is introduced, which covers most of the nonlinear systems with bounded nonlinear terms, such as the one-link robotic manipulator, chaotic systems, complex networks, the continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR), and the standard genetic regulatory network (SGRN). First, the definition of the tracking control is given. Second, the performance analysis of the closed-loop system including this unified model, reference model, and state feedback controller is presented. Then criteria on the tracking controller design are derived in terms of LMIs such that the output of the closed-loop system tracks the given reference signal in the sense. The reference model adopted here is modified to be more flexible. A scaling factor is introduced to deal with the disturbance such that the control precision is improved. Finally, a CSTR system is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the established control laws.

Qingling Wang,qlwang@seu.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 1,   Pages 1-140 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000160

Abstract: In this study, we present the convergence of . Then, we apply the convergence property to cooperative control of nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) with (UCDs), and illustrate a new kind of based control algorithms. It is proven that if the are cut-balance, the convergence of nonlinear MASs with nonidentical UCDs is achieved using the presented algorithms. A critical feature of this application is that the designed algorithms can deal with nonidentical UCDs by employing conventional s. Finally, one simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the presented algorithms.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 2,   Pages 324-339 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900181

Abstract: This paper is concerned with inertial bidirectional associative memory neural networks with mixed delays and impulsive effects. New and practical conditions are given to study the existence, uniqueness, and global exponential stability of anti-periodic solutions for the suggested system. We use differential inequality techniques to prove our main results. Finally, we give an illustrative example to demonstrate the effectiveness of our new results.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 6,   Pages 809-962 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900736

Abstract: In this study, we focus on the of in linear and nonlinear cases with multiple in control. For the linear system based on the Mittag-Leffler matrix function, we define a , which is useful in judging whether the system is controllable or not. Furthermore, in two special cases, we present serval equivalent controllable conditions which are easy to verify. For the nonlinear system, under the of its corresponding linear system, we obtain a sufficient condition on the nonlinear term to ensure that the system is controllable. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the theory.
